On our way back, we saw many people wearing Hanbok, which is a traditional Korean outfit that is worn on holidays and special occasions. There were men, women, children all wearing beautiful and elaborate hanbok on their way to be with their families. And of course, the sight below made my day... These people weren't wearing Hanbok themselves, but their dog was!!! Soooo cute!!!

Lunar New Year
A holiday that is widely celebrated all across Asia, was not all that exciting for us this year. We decided to go to Deagu for Lunar New Year, where after walking and exploring all day, we spent about another hour walking just to find a hotel. Sadly, it rained for most of the day, so a lot of the outdoor markets were not all that exciting, as you can see below. The rain did clear up though and the streets soon filled with people, shops, food stands and bright neon flashing lights.

So of course, we made the best of it and enjoyed what we could of our adventure. It was the first time we actually ventured out, just the two of us, in Korea. We usually go with groups of friends or at least one other person, but this time we did it all on our own. We got the train tickets, transfered train stations and trains, even took a subway in a new city that we had never even seen before... all by ourselves!!!! Trevor has a pretty good sense of direction and he knew his way around by the end of the day, pretty well. Me on the other hand, for anyone that knows me, would know that I would probably STILL be there looking for the way to the train station if I had gone completely on my own... But I wasn't completely useless, I was the one who got the maps!!! AND I was helpful when taking the subway because I'm used to taking them, Trevor doesn't have much experience with taking subways. Trevor was really good at navigating us around the city and continually winning the discussions of what way our hotel was.

Fooseball Tournament at Red Rock!!!
Last Friday night, after our monthy Quiz night at Red Rock, there was a small fooseball tournament held. There were only 4 teams that entered, and Trevor and myself were one of them. We did a round-robin type tournament, where each team played each team, and then the winners moved on.

We ended up playing three games and we won all of them!!! Then we were on to the finals!! The game was really close the entire time, we scored, they scored, we scored, they scored... and so forth... In the end they got the last goal and won, but it was still fun!!! We played really well and came in second... Still good i think, considering our competition and their skill level.
The next day we went to Seoul with a group of friends. I had to do something for work first, but I ended up meeting up with everyone later, and still got to do some shopping. Trevor got a new camera for a really good deal, but I only bought a sweater. We were able to get some movies though, 5 for 20 000Won, which is about $20-$25 Canadian. We went for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, where one of the waiters enlightened us with some great dancing...
